Governor to attend AGMs of IMF, WB beginning today

The Governor of the Bank of Finland Ekrkki Liikanen will participate in the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank’s Annual General Meetings scheduled to be held in Washington on 13 and 14 October.

Liikanen will represent Finland on IMF’s Board of Governors, said an official press release.

The International Monetary and Financial Committee as well as the Development Committee, which is a joint forum of the IMF and the World Bank, will also convene in connection with the Annual Meetings.

Member of the Board Olli Rehn, Mika Pösö, Head os General Secretariat and economist Hena Karhapää will also participate in the Annual Meetins, the press release added.
