Building costs increase by 2.5% in October

Building costs rose by 2.5 per cent in October 2018 from one year back, according to Statistics Finland.

The prices of materials went up by 3.1 per cent, those of labour inputs by 2.2 per cent and those of services by 0.9 per cent compared with October 2017.

From September to October, the total index of building costs rose by 0.2 per cent. The prices of labour inputs increased by 1.0 per cent. The prices of materials and services fell by 0.3 per cent from the previous month.
