U.S. game developer Zunga has announced it is buying the Finnish mobile games studio Small Giant Games, media reported on Friday.
The initial transaction will cover 80 percent of stock at 490 million euros.
The Finnish company is known for its "Empires & Puzzles". The development work of the company will continue in Helsinki.
Timo Soininen, CEO of Small Giant Games, said on national broadcaster Yle on Saturday that through the sale the company avoids the need to build large administrative structures.
Small Giant Games has 46 employees. The enterprise was launched in 2013 by people who had worked for the early developer Habbo Hall, and later got reinforcements from talent from Rovio.
Local media in Finland said the sale is the largest Finnish game industry takeover since Supercell's shares were sold.
