National Postal and logistic services operator Posti on Tuesday announced that it will start co-determination negotiation to reduce up to 236 jobs following reduction of mail volume significantly.

The co-determination talks will start in the first week of February, said an official press release.

In addition to the need to make reductions, there is a significant need for changing permanent positions to part-time positions and laying off employees temporarily in service production.

The reduction will take place in administration and service production sectors.

Posti needs to reduce costs by at least approximately EUR 150 - 200 million over the next three years.
