Technology company Nokia on Thursday announced it will cut 280 jobs in the country.

The planned restructuring measures are related to the company's restructuring and cost-saving program announced in October 2018, said Nokia in a press release.

During that time it was estimated that the company would need to cut 350 jobs in the country.

Nokia said it will offer those who are subject to reductions the opportunity to participate in the Bridge Support Program, which aims to help every employee subject to deductions find new opportunities in their careers, either within or outside of Nokia or, for example, in entrepreneurship.

The reductions will be carried out in 2019.
