More than two thousand people from home and abroad took part in the poetry festival “Taburetka” at Monchegorsk in Russia on August 26.

The second edition of the open air cultural programme attracted visitors where authors read their poetries in the park near the art object “taburetka” (the stool in English), said a press release.

The stool was a traditional place, where children read for parents first poetries in the Soviet Union. It often happened in a holiday like New Year.

It was very enjoyable and interesting for Russians to listen to verses in a beautiful Finnish language.

Ville Hytönen, a famous Finnish writer and head of the own publishing company, prepared a very special ethnophuturism program.

He combined a modern and a classical schools in his art. Russians found Ville a charming personality and listened to his poetries with a big attention.

The main reason to visit that culture project for the famous poet was a communication and culture sharing with writers from different places.

“For me it’s an incredible opportunity to share with guests my art and also make new friends from different cities and countries” Hytönen said.

“It was wonderful to be a guest in Monchegorsk city and meet many poets! One day I will come back!” He made a good friend — a broad-minded poet from Indonesia Iwan Jaconiah Kurniawan, who has been living in Russia for two years and write poetries in Russian language. “There aren’t any problems to have a good friendship, Iwan helped me to feel myself more comfortable, because he fluently speaks Russian and English!” Hytönen added
