The winner/s of the Next-Gen Baby Box QuickFire Challenge will be announced on November 30 at an official Slush side event in Helsinki’s Messukeskus, said a news release of the VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland.

VTT has been a partner in the challenge launched by Janssen Research & Development and Johnson & Johnson Innovation along with Tekes and Sitra.

The partnership involved seeking ideas for the “Baby Box of the future” during the summer. The winner(s) of this international challenge will be announced at an official Slush side event, to which access will be free for the public.

VTT wants to promote healthcare renewal and the adoption of digital services around the world by acting as one of the partners behind this international innovation challenge through means such as providing mentorship to the finalists.

“The Next-Gen Baby Box QuickFire Challenge shows how highly rated Finnish health and medical care for children is internationally; the Finnish original Baby Box serves as a prime example of this. We regard technological innovations that support childrearing as investments in the future and they deserve special attention,” said VTT Key Account Manager Kari Kohtamäki.

Access to the Baby Box of the Future event on November 30 is free and there is no need even to have a Slush ticket.

Slush is the world’s leading start-up event where founders and tech talents meet with top-tier international investors, executives, and media. Slush 2017 takes place on November 30-December 1 in Helsinki, Finland.
