Kotka murder suspect released

The police have released one suspect who was detained in connection with murder that took place in Kotka on Thursday, local media quoting police reported.

According to the police, there is no reason to suspect that the man was actually involved in the suspected murder.

Two other men were remanded on Sunday on suspicion of being involved in the murder.

The incident took place on Thursday night at a terraced house in Helilä neighborhood of Kotka.

The emergency centre received an alarm informing them that a man born in 1953 had fallen victim to violence in the house. Resuscitation efforts failed to revive the man.

According to the police, the victim was killed in a brutal and cruel manner.

Three suspects were detained at the crime scene. The suspect released was born in 1997 and the two detained were born in 1987 and 1995.
