The group announced that it successfully registered as a political party, becoming the 17th party of Finland, National broadcaster Yle reported.
Sampo Terho, Minister for European Affairs, Culture and Sport, would chair the new party called Sininen Tulevaisuus (Blue Reform).
The Blues noted that their main goals were lower income taxes, controlling immigration and pro-tecting the rights of Finns in the scope of the EU policies.
Perussuomalaiset parliamentary group broke up after right wing radical Jussi Halla-aho was elect-ed as the chairman of the party in June. At least 20 MPs including all the party's ministers in the government withdrew from the populist party.
Soon after, Prime Minister Juha Sipilä announced that his government would continue with the New Alternative, former name of the Blue Reform.
