Paper industry labour dispute resolved

The labour dispute in the paper industry was resolved on Monday, reported the local media.

National Conciliator Minna Helle said Trade Union Pro and Finnish Forest Industries have agreed to a settlement proposal.

This means the industrial action planned by the paper industry workers this week is called off.

The proposal also includes a new collective agreement salary settlement for the paper industry employees.

Trade Union Pro cited the employers’ unreasonable demands for reductions in an industry that has excellent productivity and profitability had prompted the industrial action.
