1 killed in snowmobile accident in Kittilä

One person was killed in a snowmobile accident in Kittilä on Monday afternoon.
The victim is 54 years old, police said.
The accident took place at Muotkamaantie area at about 12:30 pm and the victim sustained serious wounds.
Police, ambulance, rescue units and rescue helicopters rushed to the spot immediately after the accident but the person succumbed to his wounds on the spot.
Police and Accident Investigation Board have conducted investigations to find out the reasons behind the accident.
