Asylum seeker attempts to set himself on fire

An asylum seeker attempted to set himself on fire on Tuesday morning at around 10 am in Raisio, reported national broadcaster Yle.

According to the police, the man visited the police station in the southwestern Finland town demanding the police to cater to his request.

The man became infuriated after the police told the him that they could not attend to his request.

A police patrol spoke to the man asked him to leave.The man who was at the police lobby reached for a canister and soaked himself in liquid.

The police,however, got hold off the man before he set himself on fire and no one was injured.The man was taken to hospital.
