Man found dead in police custody in Hämeenlinna

A man was found dead in the detention cell of Hämeenlinna Police station on Friday morning, said a press release issued by police.
The victim, who was arrested earlier was kept in the detention cell.
The National Police Board instructed the Western Uusimaa police to investigate into the death.
A prosecutor will probe into the matter to investigate whether the police officials and guards acted properly as per the rules and regulation, the press release added.
