Canada foil Finland´s Olympic dream by solitary goal

Canada foiled the dream of Finns to win medal in the men’s ice hockey in PyeongChang winter Olympic 2018 late Wednesday night.

Canada beat Finland by one goal to nil in the quarterfinal resulting the Lions had to satisfied with the fifth position in the Olympic.

An unstoppable slap shot from Maxim Noreau and a shut-out shared by Ben Scrivens and Kevin Poulin saw Canada edge past Finland in a tense quarter-final game, reported IIHF.

Meanwhile, Czech Republic beat USA by 3-2, Russia beat Norway by 6-1 and Germany beat Sweden by 4-3 in their respective matches and qualified to the semi-finals.

Canada will face Germany and Czech Republic will face Russia in the semi-finals.
