Russia's Mariya Lasitskene jumped to the gold medal after leaping 2.00 metres at the European Championships in Berlin's Olympic Stadium on Friday.

The 25-year-old high jump athlete secured her second gold medal of the year after the 2018 World Indoor Championship in Birmingham.

Bulgaria's Mirela Demireva took silver with 2.00 meters and Germany's Marie-Laurence Jungfleisch scooped bronze with 1.96 metres.

"I am incredibly happy to finally have won a medal, especially in Berlin. A dream come true," Jungfleisch said.
