Kiki Bertens of the Netherlands rallied from a set down to defeat No.8 seed Petra Kvitova of the Czech Republic 3-6, 6-4, 6-2 and reach the final of the Cincinnati WTA Open on Saturday.

Bertens, ranked No.17 in the world, defeated the two-time major champion on the North American hardcourts series for the second time in two weeks, having also beaten Kvitova en route to the quarterfinals in Montreal.

"I'm feeling great. I'm really happy I won this match. It was a really tough one, but I'm so happy to be in the final here," Bertens said after the match.

"It feels great. We've put a lot of work in to get fit, and play more aggressive on the hard courts, and it's working out," she added.
