The runway of Turku Airport will remain under renovation work from July 29 afternoon to July 30 morning, said a press release of Finavia, the company that operates air navigation systems and airports in the country on Monday.

The renovation work will begin at 16:00 on July 29 and end at 10:00 on July 30, said Finavia, adding that the terminal will remain open during the renovation as usual.

Flights operations will continue normally after the work is completed.

Earlier in 2014, the airport runway went under renovation work in the summer and the Turku airport was closed for four weeks from June 30 to July 27.

The renovation work, according to Finavia, was focused on terminal facilities and traffic areas. In addition to that, four new aircraft parking spaces were built in 2014.
