Building costs post 0.4% rise in March

Building costs ported a year-on-year rise of 0.4 per cent in March, according to Statistics Finland.

Labour costs rose by 1.6 per cent and the prices of services by 1.3 per cent from the corresponding figures of March 2019.

The prices of construction materials, however, dropped by 0.6 per cent year on year.

From February to March, the total index of building costs rose by 0.2 per cent. The prices of materials went up by 0.4 per cent. The prices of labour costs and services remained unchanged in March from that in the previous month.
