Building costs up by 0.3% in May

Building costs in May rose by 0.3 per cent year on year, according to Statistics Finland.

Labour costs rose by 1.7 per cent and the prices of services by 0.5 per cent compared with the corresponding figures in May 2019.

The prices of materials fell by 0.7 per cent year on year.

From April to May, the total index of building costs rose by 0.1 per cent. The prices of labour costs rose by 0.3 per cent. The prices of materials and services remained unchanged in May compared to that in the previous month.
