Turnover of construction enterprises grows in April

Construction enterprises' working day adjusted turnover and sales volume started to grow in April, according to Statistics Finland.

Adjusted for working days, turnover grew by 0.7 per cent and the volume of sales, from which the impact of price changes has been eliminated, increased by 1.3 per cent from one year ago.

Turnover grew strongly in civil engineering in particular.

Seasonally adjusted turnover in building construction fell in April by 6.6 per cent and sales volume by 6.3 per cent compared to one year ago.

Turnover of civil engineering adjusted for working days increased by 18.9 per cent and sales volume by 11.1 per cent year-on-year.

The working day adjusted turnover of specialised construction activities grew by 5.6 per cent and sales volume by 6.0 per cent from the year before.

Both turnover and sales volume increased compared to March

Seasonally adjusted turnover in construction grew by 1.1 per cent from March to April. Seasonally adjusted sales volume grew by 1.2 per cent from one month ago.
