GDP grows by 0.8% in Q3

Finland’s gross domestic product (GDP) increased in July to September by 0.8 per cent from the previous quarter, according to Statistics Finland.
Compared with the third quarter of 2020, GDP adjusted for working days grew by 4.2 per cent.
According to revised data, GDP grew in April to June by 2.2 per cent from the previous quarter (was 2.1%) and by 8.2 per cent from twelve months back (was 7.5%).
In the third quarter of 2021, the volume of exports increased by 4.1 per cent from the previous quarter and by 9.4 per cent year-on-year. Imports grew by 2.9 per cent from the previous quarter and by 6.1 per cent year-on-year.
In the third quarter, the volume of private consumption increased by 1.3 per cent from the previous quarter and by 3.1 per cent from twelve months back.
Gross fixed capital formation, or investments, fell by 3.1 per cent from the previous quarter and by 0.3 per cent year-on-year.
