UPM reports strong result in 2021

The Finnish forest industry conglomerate United Paper Mills (UPM) improved its 2021 Q4 profit by over 80 percent to 461 million euros, reported Xinhua.
Throughout last year, its profit increased by 55 percent to 1,471 million euros, UPM said in a press release on Thursday.
UPM's earnings returned to strong pre-pandemic levels, noted UPM's CEO Jussi Pesonen in the release.
The company also announced that it continues to design its new biorefinery in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
