Finnish Customs in Vaalimaa stopped three cargo consignments heading for Russia on Saturday and Sunday that contained products under EU sanctions, said Customs in a press release on Monday.
Customs has started a preliminary investigation into the cases involving an aggravated regulation offence.
Customs will hold a briefing on the matter on Wednesday.
The European Union has imposed extensive sanctions against Russia and Belarus due to Russia’s attack on Ukraine.
