Building costs rise by 9.4% in June

Building costs rose by 9.4 per cent in June 2022 from one year back, according to Statistics Finland.

The costs of materials have risen a lot over the year in so many product groups that only the input headings showing slower growth, such as soil material (1.9%) and construction site surface structures (3.8%), stand out.

The costs of materials rose by 15.3 per cent from one year back while Labour costs went up by 3.2 per cent from one year back.

The prices of services increased by 1.6 per cent from one year ago and the total index went up by 1.2 per cent from the month before.
