The Governor of the Bank of Finland, Erkki Liikanen on Saturday said that the economic recession in the country is already over.
Speaking at the YLE Ykkösaamu (Morning breakfast) programme, the governor, however, said that the country still needs to do a lot to improve competitiveness in the perspective of the global marker, local media reported.
Referring to some reports he pointed out that that country´s competitiveness was reduced by 10 percent to 15 percent before the measure of reducing the unit labour vost taken by the three-party alliance government, according to Yle report.
"Bank of Finland estimates that the competitiveness pact has made up for about 5 percent of the lost ground. What is important is that we keep this momentum going for the next few years," said the report quoting the governor.
