Construction sector turnover grows by 4.3% in Nov

Working day adjusted turnover of construction enterprises grew by 4.3 per cent in November 2022 compared to the year before, according to Statistics Finland.

The volume of sales, from which the impact of price changes has been eliminated, decreased by 1.0 per cent.

Seasonally adjusted turnover in construction and the sales volume rose slightly in November compared to October.

Working day adjusted turnover in building construction grew by 1.0 per cent and sales volume decreased by 4.1 per cent compared to one year before.

The turnover of civil engineering adjusted for working days grew by 4.1 per cent and sales volume decreased by 7.8 per cent from the previous year.

One reason for the weaker development of sales volume compared to turnover is the higher than usual growth in the prices of civil engineering in November.

Turnover in specialised construction activities grew by 8.2 per cent and sales volume grew by 2.8 per cent from one year earlier.
