Finland sees record hike in electricity price in Q4 2022

Households paid more for electricity than ever before in Finland in the last quarter of 2022, according to Statistics Finland.
The average total price of electricity was 20 to 34 cents per kWh depending on the household's annual consumption.
The rise from the previous quarter amounted to 23 to 26 per cent and from the year before to 41 to 49 per cent.
In January 2023, the price of electricity, however, made a clear downturn as stock market prices fell.
Households paid, on average, more for electricity than ever before in the last quarter of 2022.
