Building costs rise by 3.2% in April Y-o-Y

Building costs rose by 3.2 per cent in April 2023 from one year back, according to Statistics Finland.

Among materials, the biggest increases in the year were recorded in heat insulation (20.1%) and heat, water and sewer materials (14.2%).

Costs decreased most in the year in timber structures (minus 21.3%) and precast concrete units (minus 4.6%).

The costs of materials rose by 3.5 per cent from one year back.

The prices of services increased by 3.9 per cent from one year ago.
