Posti extends opening hours for Xmas season

The postal and logistic services operator Posti is offering extended opening hours and more item pickup points from Monday for the Christmas season, it said in a press release.

To make pickups smoother, items are directed to pickup points according to their availability.

In addition to Posti’s network of 1,400 service points, the season will see the introduction of more than 100 pop-up pickup points in the run up to Christmas.

Online shoppers should keep in mind the delivery times of different online stores as deliveries from outside Europe may take weeks, for instance.

“Posti’s additional operations for the parcel season will last from now until the Christmas Eve. We want to ensure that parcel traffic is smooth in every possible way. We will be sorting parcels in three shifts seven days a week throughout the Christmas season, increasing deliveries to service points and filling Posti Parcel Lockers more often. When customers pick up their items quickly, the operations of Posti service points are smooth,” said Head of Parcel Process Peter Staven.

Posti outlets open also during the weekends.

From November 27 to December 22, Posti’s own shops will remain open until 8:00 pm on weekdays.

Posti’s own shops will also be open on weekends before Christmas.
