Building costs rise by 2.1% in June

Building costs rose by 2.1 per cent in June 2023 from one year back, according to Statistics Finland.

Among materials, the biggest increases in the year were recorded in heat insulation (16.7 %) and house equipments (10.2 %).

Costs decreased most in the year in timber structures (22.5 %) and precast concrete units (9.5 %).

The costs of materials rose by 0.5 per cent from one year back while the prices of services increased by 3.7 per cent.

The total index fell by 0.2 per cent from the month before.
