Industrial output decreases in June

Seasonally adjusted industrial output decreased by 3.3 per cent in June from the previous month, according to Statistics Finland.
Industrial output adjusted for working days also went down, by 6.1 per cent compared to June, 2022.
Output decreased most compared to the previous year in the forest industry.
Output increased from one year ago only in the industry of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply.
Output decreased from one year back and the previous month in nearly all examined main industries.
Adjusted for working days, output in manufacturing (C) declined by 7.7 per cent in June compared to one year earlier.
Compared to the previous month, industrial output decreased in June in nearly all examined main industries. In June, output increased only in the food industry, by 1.6 per cent compared to May.
The chemical industry, 6.6 per cent, and the electrical and electronics industry, 6.0 per cent, fell most compared to May.
Output decreased by 5.1 per cent in the forest industry and by 2.8 per cent in the metal industry.
Compared to one year ago, output declined most in the forest industry, 22.4 per cent, and in mining and quarrying, 20.1 per cent.
In the chemical industry, output fell by 11.9 per cent from June 2022. In the electrical and electronics industry output decreased by 5.4 per cent and in the metal industry by 2.6 per cent.
Compared to one year ago, output grew only in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, by 12.4 per cent.
