Prices of old dwellings reduce by 6.2% in Aug

Prices of old dwellings in housing companies fell in August in the whole country by 6.2 per cent from the previous year but went up by 0.9 per cent from July, according to Statistics Finland.
Prices went down most from the previous year in Greater Helsinki: by 10.6 per cent in Vantaa, by 8.9 per cent in Espoo and by 7.7 per cent in Helsinki.
Prices of old dwellings in housing companies decreased by 7.0 per cent in the six largest towns compared to the previous year. Prices went down by 4.7 per cent outside large towns.
Prices of old dwellings in housing companies went down by 8.3 per cent in Greater Helsinki from the previous year.
Compared to July, prices of old dwellings in housing companies went up by 3.6 per cent in Helsinki. Prices continued to fall in other large towns.
Prices of dwellings in blocks of flats fell in the whole country by 7.0 per cent and prices of dwellings in terraced houses by 4.3 per cent compared to one year ago.
In August, 27 per cent fewer sales of old dwellings in blocks of flats and terraced houses were made through real estate agents than one year earlier.
