Building costs rise by 1.3% in November

Building costs rose by 1.3 per cent in November 2023 from one year back, according to Statistics Finland.

Among materials, the biggest increases in the year were recorded in heat insulation (6.6%).

Costs decreased most in the year in precast concrete units (13.2%) and timber structures (12.1%).

The costs of materials decreased by 1.4 per cent from one year back while the prices of labour increased by 5.6 per cent.

The total index went down by 0.2 per cent from the month before.
