Exports to US fall, imports rise in Jan-Sep

Finnish exports to United States decreased by 1.6 percent while imports from US increased by 15.6 percent from January to September this year compared to the stipulated period of the previous year, according to a report published by Finnish Customs on Wednesday.

The value of imports from US was 3.1 billion euros in January-September period, which was 15.6 percent higher than the first nine months of the previous year.

Finnish exports to the US were worth 4.8 billion euros and the amount was 1.6 percent lower compared to the stipulated period of the 2022.

Finland, however, saw 67.1 percent increase in exports to the US in January-September period in 2022.

Germany was Finland´s largest export country followed by Sweden and US.
