Prices of old houses drop by 3.9% in Nov

Prices of old dwellings in housing companies fell in the whole country by 3.9 per cent in November from the previous year but rose by 1.4 per cent from the previous month, according to Statistics Finland.
Of large towns, prices fell most from the previous year in Vantaa, by 7.9 per cent, and in Helsinki, by 6.0 per cent. Prices went down by 2.0 per cent in Tampere.
Prices of old dwellings in housing companies decreased by 5.1 per cent in the six largest towns compared to the previous year. Prices went down by 1.6 per cent outside large towns.
Prices of old dwellings in housing companies went down by 5.8 per cent in Greater Helsinki from the previous year.
Compared to October, prices of old dwellings in housing companies went up in all large towns.
Prices of dwellings in blocks of flats fell in the whole country by 3.8 per cent and prices of dwellings in terraced houses by 4.3 per cent compared to one year ago.
In November, 15 per cent more sales of old dwellings in blocks of flats and terraced houses were made through real estate agents than one year earlier.
The numbers of sales made an upturn for the first time since January 2022.
