Turnover in industry drops by 14.1% in Nov

The working day adjusted turnover in industry decreased by 14.1 per cent in November 2023 compared with November 2022, according to Statistics Finland.

Seasonally adjusted turnover in industry decreased by 2.1 per cent in November from the previous month.

In October, seasonally adjusted turnover grew by 0.8 per cent, and in September, turnover was 0.7 per cent higher than in the month before.

Meanwhile, the working day adjusted turnover in total trade fell by 3.6 per cent in November 2023 compared with November 2022.

The volume of total trade sales, from which the impact of price changes has been eliminated, decreased by 1.6 per cent over the same period.

Seasonally adjusted turnover in total trade decreased in November compared to October.

The working day adjusted turnover of retail trade increased by 0.7 per cent in November from November 2022. The volume of retail trade sales fell by 1.7 per cent over the same period.

In daily consumer goods trade, the working day adjusted turnover increased by 2.8 per cent in October. The sales volume fell by 0.2 per cent from the corresponding period of the previous year.

Seasonally adjusted turnover in total trade decreased by 0.6 per cent in November compared to October and sales volume fell 0.8 per cent over the same period.

In October, seasonally adjusted turnover fell by 0.1 per cent and sales volume increased by 0.6 per cent compared to the month before.
