Prices of liquid fuels on wane in January

The average prices of diesel and petrol continued to sink in January 2024 compared to the previous month, according to Statistics Finland.
The average price with taxes for diesel was EUR 1.8 and for petrol 95, EUR 1.8 per litre. The equivalent average price for petrol 98 was EUR 1.9 and for light fuel oil EUR 1.4.
The annual change of the average price for diesel was minus 12.0 per cent.
The annual change of the average price for petrol 95 was minus 7.9 per cent and for petrol 98 it was minus 7.5 per cent.
The annual change of the average price for light fuel oil was minus 11.6 per cent.
The monthly change of the average price was biggest for diesel, minus 7.1 per cent and smallest for light fuel oil, minus 2.8 per cent.
