The resumption of power generation at the Olkiluoto 2 nuclear power plant will be delayed by one day due technical problems, said the owner of the plant Teollisuuden Voima Oyj (TVO) on Saturday.

“The annual outage of Olkiluoto 2 will be extended by a day due to the fault repairs made at the reactor plant. According to the updated schedule, the outage will be completed by May 7th,” TVO wrote in a post in its social media platform X on Saturday afternoon.

The electricity production at the OL2 nuclear power plant remained suspended from April 28 due to annual outage.

Power generation at the OL3 plant remained suspended due to the annual outage since March 2.

The resumption of power generation at the Olkiluoto 3 nuclear power plant delayed fourth times due technical problems.

Out of the three Olkiluoto nuclear power plants, only Olkiluoto 1 remains operative now, which generated 887.2 megawatt electricity on Saturday.
