Osuuspankki customers double-charged in Dec

A number of Osuuspankki (OP) customers’ bank accounts showed a lower balance due to a technical problem, reported the MTV news.
OP was informed about the error by a customer who contacted the bank on Monday morning.
Osuuspankki’s Media Relations Director Tuuli Kousa told the news agency STT that the double-charging happened on 3rd December.
Kousa said it had become apparent that the problem is widespread. Kousa, however, did not specify whether the number of customers affected is in hundreds or thousands.
The bank issued an apology to its customers and promised to refund the affected customers as soon as possible.
