Producer prices for manufactured products fell by an average of 0.3 per cent from June 2023 to June 2024, according to Statistics Finland.
The producer prices of manufactured products sold on the domestic market went down by 0.5 per cent, while the producer prices of export products fell by 0.3 per cent.
The decrease in the producer prices was particularly caused by the decrease in prices of paper and paperboard, basic metals, and chemicals and chemical products compared with last year's June.
The fall in producer prices was curbed especially by the increase in prices of pulp, machinery and equipment, and waste from a year ago.
From May to June 2024, producer prices for manufactured products went down by 0.3 per cent.
Producer prices fell especially due to fallen prices of electricity, oil products, and chemicals and chemical products compared with the previous month.
The fall in prices was curbed especially by the increase in prices of pulp, and iron and steel compared with the previous month.
