225 bankruptcies filed in July

A total of 225 bankruptcy proceedings were instigated in July 2024, which is one more than in the corresponding period one year earlier, according to Statistics Finland.

The number of staff-years in enterprises that filed for bankruptcy totalled 935, which is 77 staff-years more than in July 2023.

In July 2024, the 12-month moving annual change in enterprises that filed for bankruptcy was 14 per cent.

An average of four staff-years per enterprise were under threat of bankruptcy.
