Finland sees 18.1% more enterprise closures in Q2

There were 8,866 enterprise closures from April to June 2024 and the number is 18.1 per cent higher compared to the number in the second quarter of the previous year, according to Statistics Finland.

At the same time, enterprise openings numbered 10,847.

In April to June 2024, the number of enterprise openings was 6.1 per cent higher than one year ago.

There were more enterprise closures in January to June 2024 than in the whole year of 2019.

There are multiple times more closures of limited partnerships and cooperatives than openings.
