The Finnish Tax Administration has completed restructuring negotiations with the employees as a part of its austerity measures by reducing workforces, said an official press release on Thursday.

The authority took the redundancy move to save 60 million euros by the end of 2027.

As a result of the negotiations, up to 200 employees will lose jobs while jobs of 900 other employees will be affected.

The authority also decided that about 30 of the employees would be relocated to other places.

The Tax administration also said that it would reveal further decisions regarding possible layoffs and job relocations by the end of 2024.

“Although the situation is exceptional and difficult, the negotiations were held constructively and in the spirit of cooperation,” said Tommi Kämpe, Administrative Director of the Tax Administration.
