Power generation at OL3 nuke plant to delay

The resumption of electricity production at Olkiluoto 3 (OL3) nuclear power plant unit, which remained suspended from Sunday afternoon, will be delayed, said the owner of the plant Teollisuuden Voima Oyj (TVO) on Monday.

Although the TVO on Sunday expected restoration of the power production by Monday afternoon, it said on Monday that the repair is taking longer than expected.

Based on the current information, the plant is estimated to return to electricity production in approximately two days, said TVO in a post on its social media platform X.

The power generation at the plant halted at 16:28 p.m. on Sunday due to the malfunction in generator seal oil system.
