Sales of new cars on wane in Finland in Nov

A total of 6,338 new passenger cars were registered in Finland November 2024, which was 5 per cent fewer than one year earlier, according to Statistics Finland.

In all, 10,307 new vehicles were registered in November. First registrations decreased by 6 per cent from the corresponding month of the previous year.

In January to November period of 2024, a total of 67,785 new passenger cars were registered, which was 17 per cent fewer than one year earlier.

Of first-time registered passenger cars in November 2024, 31 per cent were fully electric.

The number of the electric car registrations was 1,994, or 14 per cent lower than one year earlier.

Used imported passenger cars numbered 3,534, which was 3 per cent fewer than one year earlier.
