Fewer bankruptcies filed in November in Finland

A total of 287 bankruptcy proceedings were instigated in November 2024, which is 58 fewer than in the corresponding period one year earlier, according to Statistics Finland.

The number of staff-years in enterprises that filed for bankruptcy totalled 924, which is 1,192 staff-years fewer than in November 2023.

In November 2024, the 12-month moving annual change in enterprises that filed for bankruptcy was five per cent.

In the enterprises that filed for bankruptcy during the past 12 months the staff-years amounted to 14,325.

In October 2024, a total of 339 bankruptcy proceedings were instigated, which is 70 more than in the corresponding period of the previous year.
