Building costs remain unchanged in 2024

Building costs remained unchanged in 2024 compared to the previous year, according to Statistics Finland.

Among materials, the biggest cost increases in the year were recorded in soil materials, 2.6 per cent.

Costs decreased most in the year in precast concrete units (7.5%) and steel structures (7.0%).

Labour input costs rose by 2.0 per cent in 2024 compared to the previous year while the costs of materials decreased by 1.3 per cent.

The costs of services decreased by 0.6 per cent.
