Finland sees 39% more enterprise closures in 2024 Q3

There were 7,129 enterprise closures in July to September 2024, according to Statistics Finland.

The number of enterprise closures was 38.9 per cent higher than one year previously.

At the same time, enterprise openings numbered 9,638 and the number of enterprise openings was unchanged from one year ago.

In nearly all industries, the number of enterprise openings was bigger than that of enterprise closures.

The number of enterprise closures exceeded that of enterprise openings only in mining and quarrying and in trade.
