Prices of liquid fuels rise in January

The average prices of liquid fuels increased in January 2025 compared to the prior month, according to Statistics Finland.

The average price with taxes for diesel was EUR 1.8 and for petrol 95, EUR 1.8 per litre.

The equivalent average price for petrol 98 was EUR 1.9 and for light fuel oil EUR 1.3.

The monthly change of the average price was biggest for light fuel oil (3.1%) and smallest for petrol 98 (1.6%).

The annual change of the average price for petrol 95 was 1.7 per cent and for petrol 98 it was 1.1 per cent.

The annual change of the average price for diesel was minus 1.6 per cent and light fuel oil was minus 2.9 per cent.
