Finland, Slovenia sign LoI on 8x8 Armoured Vehicles purchase from Patria

Finland and Slovenia on Thursday signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) on support for the procurement of 8x8 Armoured Modular Vehicles from Patria., said the Ministry of Defence and Patria in separate press releases.

Finnish Defence Minister Antti Häkkänen and his Slovenian counterpart Borut Sajovic signed the LoI for their respective countries in Brussels in this regard.

The LoI was jointly prepared by the Ministries of Defence of Finland and Slovenia.

With the intent, the participating nations state their shared willingness to cooperate, and that Slovenia will receive Finland’s support for the procurement of 8x8 Armoured Vehicles from Patria.

Patria AMV XP 8x8 is a market leading, state-of-the-art, modular and robust armoured vehicle providing superior fire power, protection, and mobility.

The letter of intent is not legally binding.

Patria is owned by the State of Finland (50.1%) and Norwegian Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace AS (49.9%).
